Questioning the significance of bodies and minds sharing one space over a long period, ,, ʻʻ was a site-specific temporary installation based on the experience of spending time together in a shared atelier with other students at The Institute for Ceramic and Glass Art during my studies.

Connecting and involving the glass artefacts of fellow students, the space was filled with objects reflecting projections, which were placed on three walls of an octagon building. Sharing time and space, togetherness leads to reciprocal actions, mutual exchange, but to conflicts and misunderstandings too. Defining a private space in a shared room affords sensitivity and understanding for the need of compromise. We all were developing one’s own work on one hand and structures of thoughtful cooperation on the other hand.

,, ʻʻ was a point of view, a redefined space where everything had its meaning. The windows were covered in photographs of people holding a fragile glass object made out of thousands glass rings. The object was placed in the room and it could be found in the video work too.

This project would never have been brought to life if there was not the great agreement between me and my fellow students, who made it possible for me by using their object as part of my final exhibition, underlining the importance of togetherness and cooperation.
